Can Seattle do for tea what it did for coffee? That remains to be seen. But, if Remedy Teas is any indication we wouldn't bet against it. 150 organic teas, a modern setting and an unpretentious staff along with good 'ol word-of-mouth has rubbed out the old-fogie rap that tea has traditionally had.

"Word-of-mouth has been huge for us – especially Yelp. If you get one bad review on Yelp here in Seattle, you're done," AJ Arnold, co-owner of Remedy admitted.

She and her husband Anthony, an ex-Creative Director/Brand Strategist, ambitiously opened this shop in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in November 2006. "It actually started with a like for teas, not even a love," she explained. "But then we just became completely obsessed with it."

"Even though we want to open more stores, we don't just sell tea. We're a tea company – a tea brand. It's bigger." So check them out if you're in Seattle, if not maybe soon they'll come to you.
